When your watching your favorite show and your zoned into it and your wife/gf is talking and you pay no attention(I understand) but suddenly she says the word "sex" or something of the like and you notice that one word and look over to her. Have you really heard nothing before she said before that magical word or do you hear her but blow her off until?

sincerely, dont hear her....
but the word sex stands out..... kind of like - fire in the house, something being broke, one of the children punching another for no reason, surprise visit from unwanted guest, ect.....

Look, sometimes people are zoned out and don't hear anything until some "key word" comes along - like their name, or sex, or something.

Come on everyone is like that. How many times have you suddenly found yourself interested in a nearby conversation because you heard a dirty word or something?

The best way to find out is this:

Next time he is zoned in, unzip him and give him a BJ to completion. Then see if he notices you.

I actually hear more than she thinks I do. I am listening even though my eyes are still on the tv.

They really don't hear anything until the word "sex" is spoken....it called "selective hearing".....you should see how they perk up if you get naked though...try it!

It's a combination of the two. We are filtering for anything that might catch our interest.
