It's difficult not to sound judgmental of those who do not practice what they preach. We recently moved down south where many people are judged by whether or not they go to church. The teens especially are labeled either a "church boy or girl". This label giving them a higher standing in the eyes of teachers etc...
We have found that those very same kids who are said to be so "holy" are the very ones who are smoking pot, drinking, fornicating, and are the reason for such a high teen pregnancy rate in this county.
Just avoid those hypocrites like the plague and let God take care of them. As annoying as they may be. Life is too short to let them live rent free in our minds.

1.)Thats the way its ALWAYS been. Seriously, do you remember a time when it was different?
2.)Just because someone goes to church or calls themselve a christian does not mean that they are truly a believer in christ. I think your statment proves that point. This frustrates me because other countries, especially Islamic countries will look at america doing its ussual thing, and they say. "Look at those Christians"
3.)If you are indeed a believer of Christ and your "friends" are as well you have the right to call them out 1Cor 6. Frankly, a true believer will actually encourage others to help hold them accountable. If you call someone out and their response is..Well you do it, or everyone does it, or he does it. or Don't judge me, well, thats admiting they are doing something wrong and basically that they don't care.
4.)There has to come to a point where You don't care about your buddies. Because all judgement is left to Jesus, Rom 2:16 And you sould count your own blessings. Remember God can't be mocked, nor are there any loopholes into getting into Heaven after death.
5.)Lastly, your right, you don't need to go to church every week. Church doesnt get anyone into heaven. The purpose is for fellowship, teaching, learning, encouragment, group worship, etc...Just note that if You or anyone else doesn't Truely believe the Gosple of Jesus Christ then your not getting anywhere Including your co-workers, well except for hell. Luke 6:46, John 3:36, 2 Thes 1:8-9

Although it may seem as if some (or many) Christians are not true christians, it helps to understand that Christianity is more about being a 'work in progress.' This means that many of the people attracted to its teachings are diamonds in the rough. For every Mother Theresa, there are a thousand Pastor Hang-em, till-their-tongues-turn-blue, except-when-it-comes-to-me.
Also, although Jesus gave an outline within the gospels as to what constitues a follower of his, that does not mean that he only reached out to those who met his criteria. In many respects, the amount of 'sinners' reflected within Christianity reflects the essential message of Jesus: no matter how bad you mess up, no matter how many times, I will still take you in.
This does not mean that he doesn't reprimand his followers (how many instances of him rebuking Peter are there in the Gospels) but he pretty much said 'leave the judgement up to me'. I would hazard a guess that many 'Christian' followers find a more than uncomfortable reckoning when Jesus sits down with them and goes over their life together, although I strongly disagree with the current doctrine of Jesus allowing anyone to be sent to hell.
One last thing: no matter what area of life, there are always spectrums: those who are the best examples, the worst examples, and everything in between. The farmer sows the seeds, and lets the ground and air and water and heat worry about their nurturing. By the fruits do you know the tree, so by the growing of your seed will you find those who seek your branches.

The feeling that you can do something and 'be forgiven' is a strong motivator. The question about "Can a serial killer go to Heaven" will never be fully answered in this world.
It is the general feeling that you can do what you want to and still get away with it because 'Christ died for my sins'.....
It is this blatant hypocrisy that infuriates those who strive to live a good life...... I have yet to discover the original meaning behind the 'saving of a soul' and it is something I am adamantly researching.
I truly believe there is something missing in the original translations, I do not think Jesus would have EVER considered letting one of the 9-11 suicide pilots into heaven on a last second conversion to Christianity.

because the church they go to is a man made church, the way they are living is of the world, not of God. They are liars because they dont know the truth. They give Christians a bad name, they are not Christans themselves, just someone who happens to go to a church on Sunday. A bunch of fakers who talk talk talk but dont follow through with the walk.

I agree soooo much... I was raised catholic, went to catholic schools and church every Sunday faithfully, confession ,the whole nine yards. My dad was very strict about all that. What killed me and why I don`t go to church to this day is cuz EVERY Sunday on the way home from church it was a ritual to stop and get donuts for breakfast and get my mom (who was raised Methodist so she didn`t go to church with us) a carton of cigarettes . I`ll never forget my dad as soon as we walked out the church doors every Sunday bitching and saying something about having to go get my mom her GOD DAM- cigarettes. He didn`t smoke and hated spending the money on them. I also have a step- mother now that is a big *christian* and is the most meanest ,hateful, rudest ,arrogant, non forgiving, unsympathetic, person that walks this earth. But she is so sure she`s going to heaven !!!. I get totally what you are talking about !!!!!

Many churchgoers are hypocrits but there are a few Christians who are honest and faithful to Christianity and do not put others down just because they attend church. Christians are directed by God to lift others up and cause them to want to attend church not discourage others.

To put it simple my friend, they have their day coming when they have to give account of themselves. The Devil works in the Pulpit as well as outside of the church. Most of his greatest work is done in the church. Praise God in the highest for being able to seperate the wheat from the chaff on Judgement Day.

It really doesn't matter how many church goers you know, it's certainly not most of them. Maybe most you know but that's all. Even then you are listening to gossip and that means nothing. Gossip is a sin in itself. Why is it people are so willing to believe anything bad about someone? Probably most of what you hear is BS...

A person once told a priest. "Father, I'd go to church,
but there are so many hypocrites there!"
And the priest said, "Well, they won't mind one more then."
