After all there was only a very small percentage of votes between the two of the them - so if everybody that wanted to vote for Ray was able to, he would have won!!
Oh well, Leona needs the contract as Ray will get one anyway (as Simon said on Sat night)...

The "X-Factor" wasn't actually created by Simon Cowell either, oh no, Iorn Maiden came up with that idea in 1995 (and they even released it as an album!) PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT COWELL!! Anyway, I knew the show was fixed, as Cowell would have had a say as to who wins, and leona only won because she jumped into bed with cowell!

Oh Katie, tell me, is it possible to say it was all a fix without all these Leona fans throwing a tantrum? People don't realise that a million pound contract cannot go to just anybody - Simon and co. have to know exactly what they're doing! Obviously Leona must be talented if they wanted to sign her, just 'cos someone thinks the show is a fix doesn't mean she's not. The phone lines don't matter - since when has it been about the voting?
I myself don't like Leona because 1. everybody loves her so much which always puts me off 2. I always prefer the runners-up than the winners, always 3. everytime she's on the stage she looks like she's got some pains, like she should be rushed to hospital any minute. I did like Ray, Ben, Robert and Eton Road.

Leona deserved 2 win, she is a amazing singer, Ray was good 2 but they didn't get close votes, i read on the x factor website leonna got 60% of the votes an Ray got 40%, an it wasn't coz the phone lines were down, thats an excuse!!!

To be fair, Leona has the better vocal ability. I think Ray will do well, I would imagine he would be more suited to a career in musicals - not really the pop star type. He certainly would have got the granny vote - such chubby cheeks and cheesy charm. What a sweetie.
I don't really think Leona has much personality - she can certainly sing, but she will need to develop her own style if she isn't to be compared unfavourably with Mariah Carey.
Oh for proper gutsy non-bland singers like Aretha Franklin.

No. in basic terms cos she looks like a famous guy or woman she won. X-element is a shallow software for infants. she would be dropped finally by ability of her record lable whilst they have made sufficient money off her. awaken people, it ain't approximately expertise. They are both amazing singers and in my mind, there was nothing between the two, boiled down to numbers, but bet it was v close! It was really a done deal that Ray would not fade aweay never to be heard of again, too talented for that, he'll be singing at places like Vegas one day.... The problem was they are both excellent but they are so very different, each was a winner

I question the age and IQ of anyone who takes the x-factor seriously and thinks there is any talent on it. Being able to sing is not talent. Leona has no charisma or entertainment value.
It's a joke that a karaoke singer can get rich and steal the no 1 spot.

It wasn't just in the north of the country that the cable problem occurred. It was all those who subscribe to NTL's version of Sky Plus - so they wouldn't have been watching live anyway. Ergo, no fix. Ray is a hopeless wannabee. I hear better voices than his every week at the London Oratory church.

By the same token the MacDonald brothers should never have gotten as far as they did. With Scotland voting for them they were guaranteed a couple million votes straight off the bat. I applaud the Scots their patriotism but the contest was ruined because of it. They just weren't voting for who they thought was best.
I've always wondered why there is no verification of votes on-screen. Some kind of visual representation of how the votes are going or how they finished. The way it is now you can only assume that what they are saying is true. Obviously, electronic data can be fiddled as well so it's a lose-lose situation for the viewers, but at least we would feel like our votes were real.

IT WAS A FIX!!
The only reason Ray and Leona were in the final is because they cried to get sympathy votes from the public! Just because Ben did a great song but didn't cry he didn't get the votes!! If it wasn't fixed then Robert should have at least been in the semi-finals and Ben should have won!!
