Does the Japanese version of Pokemon Pearl have an english language option?

Is it possible for a non-japanese player to play this version (ie are all texts translated to Japanese, or is some stuff still Japanese). Also, are there any drawbacks that anyone knows about to getting the Japanese version, for example not being able to trade with English pokemon games.

No, games are only released in the native language of the country they're released in.

Drawbacks:
+Can't understand unless you're fluent in japanese
+Not trade with english

Not nessecarily a drawback, but when it comes to games, some things change in the dialoge.
