There are of course the issues of the content of TV that is being viewed as if young children watch the TV can be influenced by violence so a hazard can be behavioral, but in terms of health, too much TV unlike the common saying "you'll get square eyes" has few health disadvantages. TV can however strain the eyes and dull their reflexes as you can often conceptualize TV as detached from reality and are slightly desensitized to fast movement so reflex in the real world are ever so slightly slowed. Sleep can contribute to sleep loss and make it more difficult to sleep as strains in seating positions can cause discomfort to last throughout "bedtime" and not enough energy is utilized during the day to truly attain a sense of tiredness in order to sleep, and of course if you watch TV for a long period of time, you are physically inactive and eating and such without physical exercise can contribute to obesity and fatty deposits in the blood-stream. However all these consequences are loosely related and can only contribute to other ongoing unhealthy life-style occurrences;
