You should have done this a while ago - getting a bit late now.

I think it would be better just to talk to your boss about it.

Dear Fred

I have been speaking to other members of staff in the office and we all think that it would be beneficial for staff morale and team spirit if an end of year party could be arranged on Friday 29 December.

I would be willing to make all the arrangements (in my own time, not the company's) but I would be grateful if you could agree that the firm should pay £65 per person towards it. The only guests would be members of staff, partners would not be invited.

Please let me know as soon as possible if this is acceptable to you, as I need to start getting things organised.

Yours sincerely

abi

Your work should have some letterhead. Otherwise, wouldn't it be easier to write it yourself? Why does it have to be a template?
I'm sure your "boss" would appreciate one of his colleagues showing a little initiative rather than using a template.
If not, then I couldn't say where there is a standard template for proposing to your boss an end of year party.
Also, you might want to keep in mind that sometimes, challenges we face, such as writing a letter from scratch will help us in the long run.

Dear Boss,

RE: COMPANY YEAR END PARTY

It is a time to celebrate our success and get together as employees for a year end bash hosted by my department. Upon approval we are willing to send out notices and invite all Staff.
What dates would be the most appropriate for everyone to attend this great night we will have planned. Our sports College I will make an example Staff gave each other rewards like Morning jerks, Guy and Girl Smiley, Eager Beaver - each staff had a story to award. A pot luck is fine for families to attend and a night cap at the Sports bar for the rest who want to attend.

There's no template for a party letter. Put your thoughts down on paper and get it to your boss ... you're running out of time!

Dear Boss,
I thought it would be a great idea to have an end of the year party including all of the employees to celebrate a great year for the company. It would cost $X or we could make it a pot luck. I thought having it on (date) would be the best. Please let me know if this is OK with you so that I can send out invitations.

Sincerely,
Party Coordinator
