I need gift ideas for a friend please! She's 28 years old, and we've been friends for about 2 years. The gift is really for her and her husband. I want to get something original because that's what she always does. For instance, when my baby was born, she bought a baby quilt and had his name and date of birth embroidered on it. Unfortunately I'm not very creative. Also, I can't spend more than $50.
Thanks!

~~~~Get something they can use in the house: do they entertain alot? There are some really nice serving/entertainment pieces at WalMart right now and they are very inexpensive cost, but not in looks. I got one for my friend as she just bought a house. VERY HEAVEY-4 dish orderve server made of glass w/a 5th dish in center for dips/other snacks, comes w/4 stainless stell art-deco pics and all in housed in a nice black tray. It was only about $16.00, but they also had a REALLY NICE cheese tray server, a "bar in box" and a "Martini Bar". Both "bars" came in really nice black "leather" carry boxes w/silver clasp. Had all tools needed to mix drinks. You could get one of those and--say for the Martini set-- pick up a bottle of Vodka, Vermouth and Olives as a theme-gift.
~~~~You could also get them a gift card/certificate in that amount to their favorite restaurant. Or get it in a little lesser amount and make up the difference w/Movie certificates--- "A Night Out" theme.

~~~~If you have a Things Remembered near you, they always have such pretty ornaments, photo albums, frames etc that you can have engraved. (I used to work there, believe me-you can spend $50 EASY! LOL)
~~~~"Romantic Dinner" Gift Basket--Pick out a really nice, heavy duty basket-large enough for all your contents. Fill it w/all the fixens for a nice Italian Dinner:
*Pasta (If it's spaghetti, take it out of the box and tie a ribbon around the bunch-looks "authentic" and takes the "tacky" out of throwing a box of Meullers in there!LOL If it's another form of pasta, find a cute clear cannister *easily found at $ stores* to put them in)
*Sauce (Find a sauce that comes w/a really nice, artistic label. If you can't decide on one, just take the label off of whatever you by and tie some ribbon or raffia around the neck just below the lid.)
*Breadsticks (Not the soft kind you have to bake, get the "hard" ones, those are more authentically Italian anyway. Take a cloth Napkin and after removing them from the pkg - if they don't come in a nice one suitable for giving- wrap them in the napkin as you would a bouquet of long stemmed flowers, leaving some to show.)
If you didn't want breadsticks, you could also get a nice loaf of "skinney" bread from the bakery, ususally comes in a white bag.
*Bottle of nice wine
*2 Wine glasses
OPTIONAL FILLERS:
*Candles
*Pretty place setting for 2
*Tablecloth
*CD of good "dinner music"
*Dessert item-based on what they may like and what is easily placed in the basket, can be eaten "as-is"...not frozen or needing refrigerated.

You can control how much you spend w/doing gift baskets by what you decide to put in them. And as long as you remove any packaging that shows the brands of items, you don't have to worry about buying the most expensive-name-brand items. Remove the pkging and 1: they'll never know what you spent by judging the brand and 2: it just looks better and more personally customized.

These are just a few ideas....hope it helps!

possibly you need to get her a contemporary certificates for a nail trimming or pedicure if she's into that style of subject. How bout make her a basket with stuff she likes in it (try the dollar keep for baskets, candles, knick knacks and such) you need to place 3 tiny airplane bottles of a few liquor in it. Take her out to dinner. you could in no way pass incorrect with present certificates so she will purchase her very own cd's, video clips, clothing, etc. Or while you're desperate, chilly frustrating funds and a card works everytime (besides the very undeniable fact that impersonal, and an uncomplicated way out) good day, even a gasoline card! circumstances are frustrating for a 21 year old. How bout an much cheap indoor waterfall?
