When I was 19, one of my so called friends took advantage of me and when I needed my friends the most, most of them turned their back's on me. Why is that?

you dont say how you where took advantage of physically or emontionally but no matter what a true friend would never turn away from you they would be there to support you these people are not your friends and i hope for your sake you have got rid of them all

I am 61 and not so pretty anymore and my best friend turn on me one day and said you not pretty never have been you don t talk plain. I really don t like you I didn t say anything except don t call me I want call you. we will never talk again if that s how you feel. But I didn t think I want a beauty queen . I just thought we where friends. It turned out she said she always made fun of me. That hurt so bad. I miss having a friend. I know if I don t have a friend on earth I have God he is my friend my father my savior.

Maybe you are calling people "friends" too easy. Or maybe you are not making the right choices. I know this doesn't sound too encouraging, but this is my answer.

Friends are friends when they have your back.
If not, they aren't true friends.
Find friends through your church, the people that you work with, the people that you go to school with.

some people are envious and sometimes stupid it jus shows us who our true friends are! my bestfriend when i was 17 told her BF one of my most embarrasing secrets and he told everybody at school,so it was jus a lesson to me not to be sooo trusting
