I personally would go for looks.After being with the biggest man pig of all times id rather have someone that didnt make me retch over the breakfast table.

I've dated really gorgeous Guys & some not so...I've also dated some right pigs (personality wise) & some that were just soooo sweet. If it was a choice between either, it's got to be the personality because "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder...meaning...if a person is drop dead gorgeous but has a pig of a personality they will soon look as ugly as the person they portray...equaly if a person is not so good looking but has a great personality...they too will begin to look like the person they portray.
We come across people that go on & on about how beautiful there partner is yet we somehow can't seem to see what they're raving about...obviously it's because they know of qualities in their partner that we don't & therefore their partner looks far more attractive to them than to us!

Beauty is only skin-deep, with time it fades and what shines thru is the personality of the individual. True beauty is when someone has an attractive personality and not a beautiful face.
But at the end of the day it's up to u cos some pple are content just waking up next to an incredibly good-looking dude. The question is what do u hold dear ; a mirage or the real deal?

I would definitely go for personality. Looks fade over time. Do you know what they look like without their makeup on? Why do women have to wear makeup to make them beautiful? Beauty is only skin deep! They may look fantastic when they are in their 20's, but what happens when they reach their 50's or 60's? (I actually think people get more beautiful with age!) I would rather be with someone who makes me laugh and who is a fun person to be around. That never changes! Good luck to you!

Ideally, one would find a mate with an acceptable mix of good traits.
I took out a very, very attractive woman once, who was so shallow and nasty to waiters, doormen, etc. that I retched to be with her.

It would certainly have to be a mixture of both , as you so carefully put it you don't want to see a man pig at the table in the morning but then again you don't want a pretty man with nothing to say At ALL .....

My regard is determined by personality. As my attitude to a person changes, so they become more or less beautiful. I have say I could not live with someone I hated, however attractive, which they would no longer be, because of how I felt.

After a lot of experience...I would have to choose personality. Basically, I have seen "Pretty", and I am not impressed. Physical beauty is no more than wrapping paper, it's what is inside that counts.

PERSONALITY ..As a very wise woman (my Grandmother) once told me: Beauty fades but your soul & character are forever.I believe this is true. And a person who has a "beautiful" personality is going to be beautiful for all time whether or not they "age gracefully",have plastic surgery,liposuction etc...

if you asked me 5 yrs ago i would've said looks everytime. now - i would say personality everytime. i have known so many really hot looking girls and i mean hot, stunners etc even models but most have unattractive personalities. if you dont get on with a person why would you want to look at them? thats my attitude.
give me a reasonable looking chic with a great personality anyday.
