My levels were so high that my doctor insisted I take medication but I refused and told him I would see him in 6 weeks to re-test. The following is what I did, although it is a big change, the first week was the hardest. After 6 weeks I had perfect readings, so good in fact I could have been a poster child for good health!
1. Eat 90% raw food or very lightly sauteed veggies in olive oil.
2. Replace rice with barley. (I cooked it in chicken broth for flavor)
3. Take regular oatmeal and grind it in your food processor. Add the ground oatmeal to yogurt. (Or eat oatmeal everyday)
4. Supplements I used:
Niacin 300mg 1 time a day.
Red Yeast Rice 1,200mg twice daily
Fish Oil Caps - 1 twice daily
Garlic Caps - 2 twice daily
Eat apples everyday with every meal - the pectin in apples lower the cholesteral.
Drink fresh fruit juices especially carrot, celery, and beet.
Get lots of fiber (if you eat raw food you will get plenty) You can also take some fiber (metamucil) before bedtime.
Don't use coffee creamer - very bad. Use soymilk.
Even though this was an extreme change in my diet, it did work! Don't get me wrong, when I did this I did let myself have some goodies. If we were picnicing at the lake with friends I would bring my own food and eat it. Then I would have a very small amount of the "splurge" food so I didn't feel denied. I hope this helps you - it really works!
Oops - I forgot to mention that I did eat about 2 ounces of chicken or turkey everyday for the protein. A simple rule - if it comes from the earth, eat it. If it comes from a can, don't!

Just to add something extra to your store of knowledge that isn't exactly what you're asking, the latest medical research is showing that, though cholesterol levels that are too high are unhealthy, the greater risk with regard to cholesterol for infarction (heart attack, stroke, etc.) of any kind is rancid cholesterol due, in part, to a lack of sufficient antioxidants. Even Omega-3 fatty acids, if allowed to go rancid, will add to this problem.
So, in your efforts to improve your cholesterol levels, please be sure to refrigerate your oils, increase antioxidant intake through vitamin A, C and E intake among others.
I'm guessing Tulsi juice is an antioxidant juice, which is why it's been recommended to you. I've not heard of it specifically, but if you find an antioxidant/polysaccharides juice that also contains essential oils this will greatly increase the protective ability of the juice in providing antioxidants and in preventing the fats in your body to oxidize/go rancid.
I wish you well in your journey to good health! If you want anymore specific information, please contact me. I'm endlessly educating myself about various products and health concerns.

there is garlic......anyone tell you about that? garlic is cosidered to be like a miracle for some people. not only will it help your cholesterol but, it does many, many more things for you. do a little research on it. i know these things because of my dad. he suffered three heart attacks. he uses garlic now. and there has been a significant improvement in his health and he hasn't done anything different other than consuming garlic and he now uses the treadmill. just thought that i'd let you know that if you don't like the taste of garlic, you can get it in pill form as well. but, other than that, i'd say the best advice would be proper diet and excersise. good luck to you.

A series of 12 16 (oz) organic coffee enemas over a period of three months will generally normalize cholesterol's levels. The coffee stimulates the flow of bile and will restore a sluggish gallbladder. Most cholesterol is produced by the liver and normal bile flow will wash away the excess. I have personnally used coffee enemas to lower my cholesterol from 220 to 160.

Yes,
My doctor said
to try to eliminate regular milk products, substitute rice drink.
Add - FLAX seed oil in capsule form for Omega 3,
and I tried the fish oil but it causes digestion problems for me, and I don't like the "burping of fish oil yuk!".
Rice Dream - rice drink substitute for milk, - I like the taste better than soy milk.
substitute any dairy for soy and rice products,
sugar - forget white sugar, white bread, and substitute with rice & soy crackers, 8-12 grain bread.
Pomegranetes have a great effect on the body.
It's a life change - a great way of thinking.
Chocolate should also have more cacao, and less sugar as possible - and they have lots now. Yeah!
GOD bless us one and all, always
