Business ethics are a set of "rules" that should be followed in business. Something may not be against the law but it could be against ethics. Its things like being honorable and honest to clients or saying certain things in the worklplace. Just think what is ethical and put business with it. Same thing

Absolute ethics an Ideal is goodnes for goodness sake where doing the right thing is morally right even if there is nobody watching and there are no rewards for ethical behavior. Business Ethics on the other hand is for profit Ethics, ethical behavior that will be noticed and hopefully rewarded. From this standpoint Business Ethics is the maximum amount of immorality that the market will bear without punitive sanctions and consumer outcry.

Business ethics is the branch of ethics that examines ethical rules and principles within a commercial context; the various moral or ethical problems that can arise in a business setting; and any special duties or obligations that apply to persons who are engaged in commerce. Those who are interested in business ethics examine various kinds of business activities and ask, "Is the conduct ethically right or wrong?"

Business Ethics is when someone steals the formula and market research for a new Coke product and tries to sell it to Pepsi and instead of buying it, Pepsi BUSTS THEM and they go to jail.

Companies have written codes of behaviors that are allowed and of those that they do not tolerate. Stealing is illegal, but also unethical, so Pepsi behaved ethically.

In contrast ENRON did not.

(BTW Enron is gone, Pepsi and Coke are still here. Ethical business practices are one of the keys to a successful business.)
