Im thinking bout producing music in the future.

I don't think you do. You are deciding what sounds good and making beats. Most of the big producers in the game can't sing. It would help if you could play an instrument but that isn't a must either. Your drive is all that you need. If you really wanna do it go for it. Good Luck

not at all... The legendary John Hammond was a fantastic producer but couldn't sing a note... all you have to do is know what sounds good and work the machines ie: mixing desk

You don't even have to know how to sing to be a singer anymore! But seriously, a producer just has to recognise good acts and be able to make them marketable.

No, but i does help to have a knowledge of music. It is quite a fun job but you do have a chance to offer a lot of good input for bands if you are good, i don't know about your musical ability, but there are plenty of schools that do offer classes on how to achieve this :)

you don't have to know to hold a note to be a music producer, but you should be able to hear and know music whether it is sanged, or played through musical instruments.

You don't need to know how to sing. Study up on it and see what all you need to do. Sounds fun!

i don't think you need to be able to sing,but you need to know how to sing.take simon cowell for example.
