Grassy has been in glass factories where artisans are working.
The heat overwhelms the senses when it is being manufactured. It is hard to tell, sort of a hot steamy
Different colored glass evaporates different elements, so it would depend on the color.
When it is cooled it has no smell.

I have never noticed that glass had any odor. Considering how it is made, any odoriferous compounds in the original frit would have been burned out.
