Yes, if you get caught by the celebrity team, or if someone who wants to make extra cash suing you, they may find the autograph, maybe by becoming friends with the person the autograph was given to, and before you know it you will be in your best designer suit in court.
What have you done, say a pray now that you are sorry for what you have done, that it was not intentional and if you do get found out that you will be well prepared.

What is the faker going to do with the faked autograph? If he's going to frame it and hang it in the outhouse, or use the paper to light the fireplace, no problem. If he's going to misrepresent it as the real thing and sell it at a profit, big problem.

Yes it is, if you are passing it off as authentic. That happened recently around where I live - a very famous football player had his autograph faked. This takes money out of the pockets of charities, so the person who did it might even go out of business (I hope!).

Like everybody else said, only if you plan on using their signature legally. Otherwise, it's ok to mess around... don't worry about it if you're just giving your kid a baseball or something like that hehe.

And if you do it for money, you can go to jail.
