Maybe she is teething? Could also explain the night waking.
Or distracted by the world around her? If she is feeding less during the day, she may be making up for it by increasing night wakings.
You could try giving some teething tablets or something cold to chew on before nursing.
Or try removing distractions by going to a quiet room. This might encourage her to nurse longer at a time.

Take a look at how much food she is getting. She may be more interested in the solid foods right now. As long as you offer the breast several times a day, she'll take what she needs. You can offer water, juice, or breast milk in a bottle, but I would avoid a sippy cup for now. She only needs the sippy when she's weaning from bottle to cup, and that won't be until she's about a year old. Since she is refusing both, then it's not a preference of bottle over breast. No matter what, she needs either breast milk or formula for the first year. And breastfeeding is so much easier than washing and filling bottles all the time. If you try to wean her onto cow's milk before this, her tummy might have problems digesting it, and she could develop either allergies or lactose intolerance. If you are concerned that she is not getting enough fluid, count her wet diapers. If there is a drastic change in frequency, or her urine darkens or smells stronger than normal, then she may be dehydrated and you need to contact the doctor. If nothing changes, then she is getting enough fluid and there is nothing to worry about.
In a nutshell, babies generally get the nutrition they need as long as the proper foods and liquids are offered. And until her first birthday, breastmilk should be the only milk offered.
Good luck and Blessings!

As others on here have said, it could just be something you've been eating(like the time when I got addicted to Pepsi and wondered why my baby wasn't feeding regularly and would not sleep at night-doc said it was the caffine-I stopped the Pepsi, she started feeding-and sleeping again).
I know this time is frustrating for you, I literally cried when my baby started doing that to me(Why isn't she eating? *sob, sob)...Just re-examine what you've been eating. Did you go on a diet recently? Don't forget, you need those calories to produce, so now is probably not the time to diet. Hope this helped!

You did very well nursing for 7 months and now your daughther is now weaning herself, stop breastfeeding her and try the nubbie sippie cups which have a soft nipple, and are spill proof, you can buy them at Wal-greens in a two pack for $3.00, Best Wishes and Happy Holidays.

As others said, check your diet! It's also possible that she's allergic to something. Recently, I noticed something similar in my now 8 mo. After thinking of all the possible reasons, I came to the conclusion it was something I was eating (tried something new). Narrowed the problem down to one ingredient and removed it! Within 2 days he was willing to nurse with minimum complaint!

It is very unlikely that a baby will wean herself before the age of 2-2 1/2. It is definately a nursing strike, and it could have began because of changes in your diet, exersize pattern, or teething. Please check out the Kellymom link on nursing strikes: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/baby/back-to-breast.html

Have you eaten anything spicy...or out of the ordinary...sometimes they just don't like the taste of the milk. I wouldn't give up on nursing...perhaps she has a sore throat/ear infection. Perhaps she has a cold...all of these things can and will affect nursing.
Don't give up! She is still young.
