Americans do accept the dangers of war. The issue revolves around the same finds as the Tory report. Just as what is stated in the BBC article, Americans feel that there was a lack of planning which has put our (meaning UK and US) troops at undo risk.
The last election in the US sent a message to our government. A message that the lack of planing, the lack of including the UK and the status quo will no longer be tolerated.
Americans, as you know, love risk, but the risks they take need to be calculated.

I think the American people do accept and understand the dangers connected to the war in Iraq, it's the American leadership that doesn't seem to care how the lives of our young people are criminally wasted.

Why can't the USA? This is a good question. Both Britain and the USA should change their foreign policy and stop committing acts of aggression against other countries.

Americans don't need input. They're happy to do things by themselves. Right?

We're still celebrating independence from you.
And we are slow learners (well, the conservatives, at least are).
