Whenever the baby gives you cues that he wants to nurse. Feeding "on cue" or "on demand" gives you the best chance at maintaining a full supply to meet baby's needs.
A 7 month old will probably want to nurse every 2-4 hours, but watch the baby and not the clock. You can't nurse too often. And breastmilk (or formula) should continue to be the main source of nutrition for the ENTIRE first year. Solids are mostly for fun and practice at this young age.

it really does depend on the baby, but mine went down from 4 to 3 breastfeeds a day around 7 mnths, when she was established on solids. so she breastfeeds first thing in the morning, then again about 1pm before an afternoon nap, then again before bed. i am lucky to have a baby that slept through the night quite early on hence the low number of feeds, some babies the same age still feed more often.

My 7 month old daughter is breastfed. She eats her 3 meals a day and a snack of finger food 1 or 2 times per day. She breastfeeds about 7 times in a 24 hour period. Lately it has been less, I think she is going on strike.

Same as any other baby, when it's hungry. Breast milk is not consistant like formula. It depends what you've been eating as to how much nutrition the baby gets. Also it depend what the baby has been doing and how much growing and learning s/he has been doing. 1 third of a babies calories go into forming it's brain at this age, so if you are doing new and exciting things together they will get more hungry.

Follow your baby's lead and don't go by the clock or the number of times he needs to be fed. If solids are started and if u are planning on weaning baby off breast, then you should plan on stopping the daytime feedings and the early mornings and night feedings should be the last to be stopped.

how often do you eat?????? When you are hungry
You cant tell your child if it is crying through hunger to wait 2/3 hours before you can feed it, a child should have food when it's hungry otherwise this can cause bad feeding problems. If you are hungry then you get something to eat dont you.

2 times solids. the rest, breast feed whenever the baby is hungry. their intake at 7 mos is 240 ml. or 8 oz. if you can produce that much then maybe 3-4 hrs.

Every three hours if you are not feeding anything else. If you are feeding cerelac or other cereals, you should feed after three hours from any meal.
