The X in Xmas should always be capitalized. Other than that, either is fine.

Either way is fine. Really Christ doesn't have much to do with the holiday anyway. The Christians chose this time to celebrate his birth but this really isn't his birthday at all. The christains took many ideas from around the world and invented Christmas. Some ideas were taken from pagans, germany, turkish.....all I am saying is, since this was an invented day by the prtestants anyway...don't feel guilty if you were rather write xmas!

Christmas is about Christ, so it is better to write Christmas than xmas.

I think since the true meaning of Christmas is about Christ's birth it should be Christmas but I don't think an occational xmas is too bad.

I personally write Christmas, because it is about Christ. Some that may not believe in Christ may use xmas....but then again, why do people that don't believe in Christ celebrate Christmas??

Christmas! (But sometimes I write Xmas. It doesn't mean that I don't want Christs presence, it' just means that I don't have enough space or that I'm being lazy! Even when I'm lazy, Christ is present with me though!)
