spark plug wires. you can spray them down with a 10% saltwater solution and apply a load to the engine by putting it in drive and giving it some gas. Have someone watch under the hood at the plug wires. If they are bad, you will be able to see the spark jumping from the wires to the engine. If it's bad enough you'll be able to hear the spark jumping too.

IF YOUR CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC YOUR TRANSMISSION NEEDS A SERVICE BASICALLY CHANGE YOUR TRANSMISSION OIL AND FILTERS MAYBE YOUR AUTO TRANSMISSION BELTS NEED RETENSIONING . IF A MANUAL HAVE YOUR TIMING CHECKED AND SPARK PLUGS. WHY YOU ASK SIMPLE IF YOUR TIMING IS OUT BY 1 IN 1000TH OF A MIL IT WILL JUMP AND GIVE A SMALL BACK FIRE IF ONE YOUR SPARK PLUGS ARE GONE IT WILL CAUSE THE SAME THING BECAUSE IT WONT BE FIRING IN ORDER

it sounds like your car is just shifting. the jerking is probably a sign that your low on transmission fluid. Check it and top off if necessary. That should help it shift smoother.

Check to see if the Transmission Fluid is LOW or it could be that you need a simple tuneup.

sure...

1st of all... it might b still cold when u drive with it... leave it a bit 2 warm up...

or... check ur gear oil... that sometimes makes such problems...

& maybe... it might b a little bit chocked with fuel...

if the gear oil is @ the proper level or ur engine isn't chocked with gasoline (petrol) or deisel, u drive when the heat gauge is telling "warm"... then check ur car mechanic quickly!
