This happened to me when I accidentally downloaded a neromediaplayer NTuser virus. At first i was told by Norton that I had gotten the W32 Jeefo virus, but then the virus scan wouldn't detect it and the files kept spreading. I ended up doing a complete system recovery (not a restore) and now it is fine.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Try scanning from safe mode:

Get into safe mode by pressing the F8 key after you press the power button on your system.(you may need to press it more than once depending on how fast your system boots.)

Also, you may be able to do a system restore to a time before you got the Virus. You will have to check the System Restore program for the restore points (dates).

First download the latest patch, if it won't work open your system in safe mode with networking and then restore it with any previous date.

Start-> Accesories->System Tools->Restore
