Yes, she was the rightful winner. She is a lovely girl and completely natural with it. I just hope she has a longer career than the previous winners who just seem to disappear after a year. I wonder if the record companies drop them to make way for the new winner. Shane Ward was, like Leona is now, billed as this BIG star but he's not been heard of for months and has only released a few records. But I guess it's all in the name of money, money, money and lining the fat cats pockets.

It's meaningless. If someone wants to be a star, then I insist they write their own original songs, rather than go on a gimmicky popularity contest.
Wozza - Absolutely correct. Good point. I can't believe the morons who think she will get far. They say that about every x-factor winner. I question their age mentality.
Genghis: Exactly. They deserve no respect. The phone company's are the winners. They laugh at the morons who vote.

No a great voice but no personality, not really X factor,I think you will here a lot more of Ray over the next few years, loads of personality and stage presence, and he can dance and act to boot ,so more opportunities.whose album would you buy if Leona ,christine aguilera,Whitney houston,Celine Dione, and Barbara Sreisland all made the same album.

It makes no different who wins, the winner has a hit single and then disappears, despite the county apparently getting carried away at voting time, everyone loses interest after the event. I personally wasn't keen on anyone. The only ones to gain are ITV and Simon Cowell. Never mind there'll be another next year.

Not really, I wish none of them won and the show was cancelled. Yet another plastic "celebrity" has now been produced by manufactured pop. Yet another person who simply wants to be famous and has no passion about music. What a waste of airtime. Real musicians work their way up from the bottom, performing in bars etc until they learn to respect music, and be humble to the fans as they are the ones that make them famous, not go on tv and take the quick path to fame. They will have no real sense of the music or appreciation of the fans that way.

I think in terms of talent and ability to look so natural when she sings (no neck veins popping out!) she did deserve to win but I think Ray will go a bit further then her in terms of he's entertainment factor.
It was a close call between the two

I thought it was only a rumour, fancy her winning £10.00 on the lottery the same night as she won the show. What a lucky lady !

Yes. She sounded so amazing & just like a pro, so of course she deserved to win. I think that Ray was amazing too, but i think he'd be better in musicals & stuff like that because that's the sort of thing that he seems able to do better
