I find it rather disturbing that the male race can call a woman the b word. I hate that word and I find it disrespectful and rude. It kind of disturbs me that some women will refer to themselves as one. It comes from a self esteem issue.

I'm not some hopeless romantic. I'm far from it. I still find myself laughing when I watch a romantic movie. I'm all about machismo, but I'm not going to degrade a woman for my own entertainment or to raise a false sense of self worth.

Wow, it is rare to meet someone with the same biews as you these days! I commend you on that!
To answer your question, women have to learn how to respect themselves if they expect it from others. You can't go around being raunchy and being disrespectful and want others to treat you right. Alot of women don't seem to understand that. Yes there will always be those "men" if thatz what you want to call them who will beat up on and disrespect womwn, but I think if we didn't let it happen...it wouldn't.

There's a conservative backlash for one. An honest, hard-working, independent woman is the enemy in their minds. She is nothing but a whore. She went to college and didn't marry at 17 to start popping out kids. The sort that believe this are the absolute worse. I actually won't even dignify such comments with a response. It's best to look at them like they just stepped off the Saucer from Planet X and back away from them...slowly because they tend to foam at the mouth and I don't want that on me.

Another reason is that there is sort of a new sexual freedom taking place with women, yet the double-standard exists: women are whores and men are studs. I find it hilarious to tell you the truth and will laugh out-right at these things (in the face of the speaker).

Finally I think it is true that some women don't respect themselves while others (like myself) demand much more than just respect. I demand respect, understanding, compassion and a myriad of other forgotten social norms.

I find that men my own age that are not married already have 3-6 kids with an ex-wife or 2 or 3. Then turn around and harp on "values" etc. I'm considering dating younger men now myself because generally speaking they are more easy going about a woman's freedom and LESS judgemental about her life experiences.

Thanks for your attention to this. The "machismo" is what is taking it from "kindly" paternalism to abuse being even more acceptable. I am sure though that your intent is well. However, at this point in my life I won't take any kind of back seat, being older and having had so many valuable experiences and made many contributions to society. Women deserve the same respect as men.
I decided some years ago I would never allow a man into my personal life who would not show me as much respect as any man. A met a heterosexual male feminist and my now very loving husband....I thought I would remain single but found but raising my standards and only accepting that brought me many offers (I think it made me appear more attractive to the RIGHT kind of men.) I have been happily married for over 11 years now.
As for those lunatics who disrespect women so badly, they get it all back eventually...I avoid them and seek men and women with the higher EQ, professionally and socially.
Thanks again for bringing this up.

I`m in the same boat as you man, I find it very insulting when I hear a man call a woman by the B-word. I also see girls calling each other the B-word too, and they laugh like they said something funny. Today people seem to find it funny to degrade women, which I just can`t figure out why.

The woman who will take offence is a woman with low self esteem because she's letting someone else's opinion matter to her.

If she was confident in herself it wouldn't have upset her in the first place. I really don't care if I'm called the B word. I know what I am.

There really ARE women who are B's out there you know. Sometimes the word is relevant.

I gotta agree with NO-F-ING-WAY. They're not men who have no respect for women, those are morons.

"A man" respects women. :-)

When a moron calls a woman a b*tch, she can either turn it in to a positive or argue with a moron. :> Turning it in to a positive is much better than arguing with him. If you argue with a moron and say you're not a b*tch, they'll keep arguing back like juveniles.

So a woman smiles and say, "Thank you, I work at it". Which means...

~ When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a b*tch.
~ When I stand up for those I love, they call me a b*tch.
~ When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a b*tch.
~ Being a b*tch means I won't compromise what's in my heart.
~ It means I live my life MY WAY. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.
~ When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak up against it, I am defined as a b*tch.
~ The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.
~ It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of "what they think I should be".
~ I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. By God, I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!
~ So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.

And if that makes me a BlTCH, so be it!!
I embrace the title and am proud to bear it:

B -Being
I -In
T -Total
C -Control of
H -Herself
* * * * *
B = Beautiful
I = Intelligent
T = Talented
C = Charming
H = Helluva Woman!!

Send this to all the bitches you know, or anyone you feel should become a b*tch!

From the Sisterhood of B*tchdom!!!

"Let your conscience guide you"

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams"

"A dream is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality. Let's have a dream..."

Hi,

I'm one of those men who has very little respect for females at the moment.. and not without good reason..

The modern woman, drunk on Sex in THe City.. is essentially a bit of a tramp these days.. I'm scared of catching a disease as I am now single.. so am abstaining.. as I heard 30% of women now carry STD's.. Ughhh.. bad odds..

Worst for me, is I became rich and since I never had a woman stand by me on the way up, I now find it impossible to trust a woman as they tend ot be money hungry species who will sometimes say anthing to make you feel loved only so they can take half and maybe have a kid so I get ot pay child support while the woman has a free ride.. happens daily.. happened to my best friend.. his alcolholic wife cheated on him while she was prgnant.. and didnt care as she gets cheap government housing and all the other freebies that come with being a single mother.. my poor mate actually raised the kids himself in the end.. his ex is still drunk living in her cheap home.. but the feminists would be quick to point the finger at him.. which is another part of the problem.. the feminists who hijack the freedom of women for their own lesbotic cause.. has resulted in women being worse off now..

It's funny for me.. when I was 18.. I was so poor no one would date me.. I watched all the hot girls my age pass me by.. now 15 years on.. I have become wealthy.. haha.. now I see many of the same girls.. much older.. still tramping on trying ot find some rich guy.. and NOW they are finally interested in me..

Sadly for the "boilers".. I only date women ten years younger now..

I think it stems from the fact that so many women do not have any self respect or self esteem. They welcome being called by such names. It is a very sick society in which we live. However, there are many women who want and desire to be respected. Not all are lacking self esteem and use the b word to refer to themselves. However their are so many seeking attention they put themselves within situations purposely to be disrespected. Very sad and very true. God bless****

I agree with you and I wish more people would. Men insult women because that's how culture raises them to think. Men don't need to go out and become super romantic, (like you said) but they should be a bit more considerate.

I agree. However, women calling each other and themselves that doesn't come from a self esteem issue. Thank you though, we need more men in the world like you :)
