A full service with a good flush out is what you need. Nipples fully greased and your underneath fully examined. Any spare tyres should also get a thorough examination. All buttons and switches should be examined, especially the starter button.
cost .. half a lager and a packet of crisps, but im negotiable on the lager.. and the crisps

A year? Oh my! Get rid of the dipstick and replace with a shiny new one. I'm pretty sure a good service will then be imminent.

Well, I'm cheap (but ain't nasty), give a great service and can even perform a tune up, but you need to bring it to me, I don't do roadside calls....
