It's impossible to be nice to everyone at the same time in a world that is obviously so full of diversity.
Every coin has two sides. A lot of people only look at one side. If it is the good side they're looking at -- "nice" comes to their mind. If it is the bad side they're looking at -- "not nice" comes to their mind.
Great minds see the world differently -- that's all. More often than not, it gets them into trouble or worse -- "greatness" is thrust upon them. Every "great" idea of the world faced a lot of resistance in this world because people can't individually cope with change that might radically alter their point of view. It's easier to kill people than change their point of view.

I suppose it depends on how you define nice and how you define great. Mother Theresa was great, but not very nice (apparently) but the work that she did was great and nice. I think we all do a little of both, and I would hope that we aim to be nice, which makes us pretty great.

From what I've seen "nice people finish last"
I never used to believe that, but that's the way most people are
they take advantage and use people, when they see someone
gullable and naive. Oh, and nice.

I think its great to be nice..... but its greater to be wealthy than rich...... because it cannot be defined... and yet it is more fulfilled....
