Cricket is the most popular game in India.At present India is playing against Souch Africa and is on the point of winning the test(for the first time in all these years and that too after continuous losses in ODIs recently).If you are here you will be overwhelmed with the joy the Indian public feels. When any t est match is going on Indians normally strike work and are glued to the TV/Radio and abusing or praising according to the turning fortunes. Indians may perhaps never mind losing a war with Pakistan (which has never happened)but when they lose a match with them they are very unhappy. The cricket batsman and ballers are their heroes and products recommended by them in advertisement have brisk sales. The Bombay Cricket Control Board is the richest Board in the world.

There is a long list of games played in India - But after the TV culture the cricket is the most propagated one, and thus now we can find Cricket as the popular game, previously we know that kabaddi, gilli-danda,football,hockey were the so called games we played. But the stardom behind the cricket made it the leader.
