My brother just bought a new lap top and it was his first time using it. So he doesn't really know how it works. Tha features is all good, except he found that the volume is too soft eventhough it is in full volume. I try to fix it by using the command prompt in the laptop, where we can extend the volume. But at the end of the prompt, it stated there that we have to fill in the extend size in megabyte. I don't know the minimum or maximum of the extend size and simply fill in any number, but none of them exist. What should I do? Or are there any other way that can help to boost up the volume capasity?

Are there any other way besides using a speaker? It's kind of troublesome to bring the speakers along.

Be careful.

Volume has two meanings.

The loudness (what you are trying to change).

The area on the hard disk set aside for use.

It seems you may be, unintentionally, attempting to change the volume size of the partitions on the hard disk (which are recorded in megabytes).

Stop playing now until you are sure you know what you are doing.

You've been into Control Panel - Sounds, Speech & Audio devices?

If so, you've probably reached the limits of the built-in speaker. Get some good external speakers.

please do not make any changes on irq, dma, io etc.. it may cause your pc mute.
