A good leader always influence people and not influenced by people. Thus ! you can see what sort of leader, manager, supervisor ; etc you have .

I have superiors, for my allegiance is to my subordinates, that is why they all pay HOMAGE to me.
I influence people with my boldness, my point of view.

I influence others. People know of my convictions and that I really believe what I say and that I don't ever compromise ever.

I don't think it is either way in my case. I think it takes work to hold on to a relationship on each person's part. I do my work. I hope they do their work too. At any rate, I have done the twelve angry men thing and talk to the troops thing and people did what I wanted them to do but I can't always expect others to agree with me or do what I want either. And nobody should expect me to blindly follow them. That is just not me.

It takes one to be the other. People will only listen to you if you listen to them. So, I allow myself to be influenced by other people's beliefs so that in time to come, people listen to my opinions too.
