ended up spilling so much over the kitchen floor! I instantly said to her, "I'm sorry. Are you angry with me". Do you know why I might have this behaviour?

thats just who you are...

have you had a bad child hood - shouted at alot.

im like you, i often feel the need to say sorry, for anything i do, even if its not my fault. its comes out naturally.

Dont worry about it to much, im sure it will only get better with age.

When you are used to feeling unimportant or supressing your wishes in favour of other people's you will apologize when this is not appropriate. It is usually as a result of feeling undervalued as a child or young person. Take stock of how you feel about your family, are you apologizing for the spilt orange or for being there? Why are you concerned about someone being angry with you? Is someone in your family angry without good reason, if so then the problem is yours not theirs.

Take care, and Merry Christmas

I'd be 'angry' with anyone who used the name of 'Poopsy,' just as a matter of course ~ over any given reason I thought I could use.

You, I'm pretty sure, know exactly Why. It defines your role, it pins you into some submissive place, establishes your diminutive purpose in life ~ to be walked over and used ...and I suspect that this persona laps it up.

Well done. You got what you want and continue to do so.

Sash.

You are too nervous & skeptical. Try doing yoga. Peace your mind from the fear of getting people scold. If you able to overcome that fear then your problem is solved.

are you a little insecure?
perhaps you have done something before to make someone cross at you and now when you do something similar you just expect the shouting?
