It's not "wala" or "bokya" if you use it as counting no. that will destroy the whole grammar...e.g. wala, isa, dalawa etc., or ask a question; magkano binigay sayo? are you going to say wala? then you back to counting? wala isa dalawa...think about it..ask your professors about this...they didn't teach this before....thanks

Some of the vocabulary in Tagalog will be familiar to speakers of English: bangko means bank, sero means zero, tiket means ticket, and kompyuter is recognizable as computer.
The Philippines was not advanced in mathematics in history and did not adopt its own concept of 'zero' other than the simplistic terms of the absence of something or that something has run out which is "wala" or "bokya".
