I think Jac has thought that I was living in USA. No, I'm not. There aren' cheer-leading, popular tables......here.

These stereotypes, as most, are built upon a superficial glance at high school life. You forgot about abusive teachers, clueless parents and the really cute but shy guy from the wrong side of the tracks.

On the other hand there are far more intricate things to consider. Like individualism, the dialectic of popularity, and the whole who am I hormone mess that is adolescence.

My advice? Don't believe everything you see on TV. Learn who your friends are, and don't think that people that are different form you aren't your friends too. My biggest regret from high school was not recognizing that a lot of people actually liked me because I was so wrapped up on myself and thinking that I was different.

Everyone is different. Everyone is experiencing different things through similar experiences. You will have more in common with the people around you than you think.
