lol - typical bloke, leaving it to the last week to do his shopping..... it all depends on what your mother likes. if she likes a particular animal / subject, u could try to find an ornament or picture of it..... or you could buy her a really nice photo frame.... or if she likes bubble bath and things like that, go to a Lush shop and pick out a selection of bath bombs for her... if my son was old enough to buy me a present, i would love something from lush - they sell hand made bath time / beauty products.... and everything in there smells wonderful ! or if u are really stuck, go to Thornton's and get her a decent box of chocolates...... as long as she's not on a diet.... i know my mother always strops if anyone buys her chocolates, she's always complaining about the amount of weight she puts on at xmas time ! well, good luck. hope u find something nice !

How about going to your local alternative therapist and getting her a voucher for a treatment e.g. a relaxing body massage, some reflexology or maybe a facial. Women love to be pampered.

I would start with what she likes. What has she always wanted. Is there anything she needs. I find sometimes a nice home-made gift really brings a smile.
Start with these questions and go online and you maybe able to find something that would make her happy.

My mum liked so many things. If you can know what she has liked in the past, then find something similar, you will be in good.

I mother's ring or necklace is nice. With all her children's birthstones on it, She will cherish it for ever. If you don't have enough as your siblings to help purchase it. If not maybe a nice bottle of her favorite perfume.
