Take a shower. It really really helps and a nap should help too. Each person is different. A period that bad may be normal (i dont really know) but you shouldnt have to live through it, though I have experienced it too! it sucks, I dont know how old you are but you should go to the doctor (talk to your parents if your under 18) and talk to them. I think that it can be a sign or ovarian cists and such but I never got a lot of information about it. My doctor was just like "oh heres a perscription for birth control. see ya later." For me though it only happen three times total. it wasnt a regualar thing so Im not sure. midol helps a lot usually but it didnt make a difference at all when it was that bad. For me though during the pains a shower always helps you to calm down. Take a hot shower and lie down and relax. A bath could work but a shower is better because of the water moving. Hope it helps.

DId you recently lift something very heavy? Possibly injure your back? That's a big possibility. Also, your period might simply be late. Ice your back and see the doc as soon as you can if the pain persists.

Sometimes the pain comes before the bleeding, sometimes it's irritable bowel syndrome and other times it could be an infection, so if the problem persists and worries you, see a doctor.
