A Crow is the bird most associated with the Morrighan, an ancient Celtic deity symbolizing death, and death in battle especially.
The Celts had a word for flocks of circling Crows, Ravens, etc.
It was called the 'Dun na'haughin', the 'Tower of Death'.
In some places crows are still killed outright due to a feeling of this still lingering on to this very day. In general terms a 'group of crows' is called a "Murder of Crows", but most scientists insist that it should still be called a "Flock of Crows".
