What's the big deal about marriage anyway? Yes, the sanctity of marriage has probably been lost because it's not necessary anymore. There is much more freedom than there used to be. Why should you spend years of unhappiness, trying to work at a relationship with someone if it's just not meant to be. Yet people do that because "they're married". It's a no-brainer to me, if a relationship doesn't work, move on. I doubt human beings were ever designed to "mate for life" anyway. Yes, some are lucky enough to find their soul mate and live happily ever after, most don't.

with out children i would say.80. percent divorce rate , but many still get divorced no matter if children are in the home now. and the children are the ones who suffer over this sad to think about. my opion?

True marriage in America is a lost cause.

This is the land of individualism.
Marriage requires unity and selflessness.

Too many people looking for the "I" in "TEAM".
