I gave my car in to a company who does audio installations- when i got the car back it had some small dents/creases in the bodywork. They definately were not there prior to me giving the car in as the bodywork was absolutely mint. I have spoken to them about this and they are denying that it could have been them.
What can I do? Does anybody know any specialist lawyers/barristers in the London area who have a good reputation/experience in deaing with cases like this?
Many thanks

This might not be relevant but do you know if you have legal expenses cover with your buildings and contents insurance? I was unaware of mine until a solicitor asked me and I ended up using it to back legal action. It's worth checking your policy - it allowed me to threaten court action without worrying about costs.

Your problem is evidence. You need to have a good witness does not need to be independent who can say that the damage was not there when you gave it to them. If you cant find that you cant still take some action. Get an estimate to fix the damage then write by recorded delivery to the managing director putting the facts and say that unless you have written confrimation that they are willing to repair the damage or pay for it to be repaired withing 14 days (maybe as it is over the Christmas holiday you had better make it 21 days) from the date of the letter you will issue proceedings in the county court to recover the debt. If they do not pay then go the the county court. The court staff will show you how do do it. It will cost money but you add that to the bill.
Now the judge will decided on the balance of probabilities so even if you have not got a witness he may well decided that you are it is more likely that you are telling the truth but there is no guarantee. It may be that the company wont want the hassle of going to court and if they believe that you are going to do it they may well just pay up to get rid of you. This is a simple matter legally and any solicitor can deal with it. You dont meed or any sort ot specialist

considering towing businesses usually use wheel lifts for towing lately, and talk to not some thing besides the indisputable fact that the tires, it isn't going they'd reason damage on the area of the door. yet in case you experience they by some ability led to it, communicate it with them. they're going to probably furnish you with their insurance information and allow you to make a declare.

Here's my advice, and I know it's a good car. but ...

"sometimes you just have to let go"........

Just think of the damage you are going to to to your own psyche trying to "get" some garage, like you are going to "get" them, get "revenge" on them or something. You will NOT win .

Sorry, but just walk away from it. A quick respray and tart up is a lot cheaper than a lawyer.
