I have linksys too with my wireless laptop card. I get connected to it all the time, but sometimes the internet doesn't work. What i do is go to the router, and turn it off and on. Reset it, and then disable the connection on your laptop, and connect again, it might work, make sure you reset the router, not the lynksys reciever.

Call Linksys, 1-800-326-7114. They have 24-hour technical help, and are very good about working out problems with security and connectivity.

Verizon had to come out and connect my laptop to our Net gear router. Laptop works well, but had trouble getting my friends who visit to connect with my router. It works well now because I bought an 25 foot cable with Ethernet connections at both ends (Walmart) to hook up with Net gear router to our friends laptop. So if you can't get your Internet server to help, try it with the cable

No its not right! If you already have an internet connection on the main PC, you should be able to connect through yours! Run the internet connection wizard and select lan connection.
