In the past five years, I've heard hundreds of references to President
Clinton's comment, I believe made during a legal proceeding, "it
depends on what is is." My question is, What was the "is" that he was
referencing? What is the context of this remark? Indeed, does the
Oxford English Dictionary provide more than a single definition of
"is"?

George Carlin noted that this country is so full of SH, it was like when Clinton ran for office, his whole campaign was based on 'HEY! Im full of SH!' and the people stood impressed and said to one another 'heck, at least he's honest!'

no i cannot believe it!! he always struck me as an honest person. i said man, lying isnt exactly nice..youre giving people false hope and i thought you were nicer than that. yeah im gonna lose sleep over that.
