Firstly, no, I would not advocate nor employ physical abuse. Secondly, no, I would not punish him. Didn't someone famous once say "let him who is without sin cast the first stone"? I've smoked weed, so what exactly am I going to say to someone about smoking weed? Mostly I would say not to let it become a problem. If it's distracting him from his pursuit of knowledge, I might nudge him back on course. If it seems like he's going to become a perpetual stoner, I would recommend rehab. Otherwise, I would mostly ask that he just do it at home, or with people he trusts, and not where he could get caught by the police, and not to let it become a problem.

I really wouldn't like you to go in that direction. All the studies have been made. I used to smoke it but it got to a point that I didn't like it anymore. I developed major Paranoia and Schizophrenia. Detachment from myself, my real friends and family. It's cheap spirituality. I know people who continue to use and the reason is I don't know. Sometimes they can't function as normal people when they don't have it. (like all drugs) Basically you are numbing your brain to see whats around you. You see ok but you're putting yourself out of the picture. Meaning that is understandable how people with mental problems (like me) would find it appealing. Once you put yourself through that for some time, and stop it's hard to deal with your own problems 'cause you've been so detached so long. About the sensations and physical effects what you wrote it's true. Hunger is and effect. I gained like 30 lbs. Philosophical insight is no good if you're too stoned to apply it. Your reaction time and reflexes may slow down due to slowing of your cohesiveness and perception. If it's not one it's the other. Many users delve in existentialism to try to explain their own existence and the lives of others. Behavior effects of the drug depend on the individual. It may open for some what it can blind for others. Long tern effects are long term memory loss except their memories before they were using heavily. The "Half Life" of Marihuana is the longest of all drugs as it is full of poisons and carcinogens, not to mention it's a psychoactive drug able to change the personality of the user. Hope this helps.

It can have a range of effects...paranoia, euphoria, panic. Bascially with any drug it varies from person to person. In college I smoked weed and I remember being extremely hungry and paranoid. Weed is a depressant it not gonna make you hyped, but now adays weed can be laced with a other drugs like speed and cocaine.

You feel hungry, calm, lazy, and you laugh at everything! It just makes you feel really good. It doesn't make you hallucinate like some people think.

all of those things are true, but don't try it, because despite what potheads might say, IT IS PSYCHOLOGICALLY ADDICTIVE. they say they can quit any time they want but they never do. I know because i used to have this problem until i was arrested twice.
