I prefer real but due to uni costs (but not living in uni housing, thankfully) I am using a fake one, obtained used. It looks great with all the usual ornaments. For the moment, I am quite happy with it.
Oddly, it is one of the most beautiful trees. Maybe it is the idea, the spirit that makes the tree real in ways that really count.
Father Christmas won't care.

It has to be a real tree. Environmentally friendly, look better, smell nicer and don't take much looking after. As I only live in an apartment, storing a artificial one is out of the question too! Plus its great going to pick one out!

I love real long needle trees - they look better and bring the snell of pine into the house - but I have an artificial one as it saves me money (I'm on a tight budget), and the needles don't drop (I'm really busy cleaning up after four kids let alone a tree).

i never understood why people don't think it's wrong to kill a tree that took years to grow, just to have it for a couple of weeks (for their own satisfaction).
the fake trees today look and even feel real, besides, the real ones absorb all the bad gas in the environment, and put out oxygen for us to breathe.
i do not object if the tree still has the roots and is planted outside after the holiday.

I somewhat have a guy made tree too. although, there is not any longer something like the actual element. We consistently had a real tree. we could flow to those 'decrease your very own' tree farms. I omit the smell, the custom, and the relaxing of working around observing all the timber and choosing one out. palms down - the actual tree is extra suitable, IMHO.

I prefer artificial christmas tree, because I don't have to water and then after that I can put away and save it for next Christmas

I love the real ones, but we have a dog and it wouldn't be a good idea in case she gets pine needles in her paws when they start dropping off the tree, so its an artificial tree for us.

Real, you just gotta watch out and make sure that Michael Richard's didn't go old fashioned and hang a swoogie upside down from the tree. Dems spooks'll getcha 'very damn time, I tells you what.
