Okay first make sure the sound card is installed properly inside your pc. If that is not the problem then get the driver online by going to sound card manufacturers website then reinstall your sound card driver. Reboot and see if it works. If that does not work something could be wrong with your sound card or hard drive. If you need further help feel free to email me bornlie@yahoo.com

I just answered Someone else with a same problem... First make sure that U have Ur Pc's Motherboard Cd with u... Or get one that Suits Ur Motherboard... Check whether U can see the volume Icon on the task bar... If it isn't there then Right click the MY COMPUTER ICON and choose MANAGE... Go to DEVICE MANAGER and search for Ur Audio Driver... If it Has a yellow mark on it then first Right click the Icon and click uninstall And Uninstall the Driver... If u don't see the Audio driver at all then directly do as follows... Now Restart Ur Pc...The System would Automatically Detect a sound Card and notify U on the System tray... Click on the Notification Icon... A setup Wizard will appear and ask U for an Installation Cd... Insert Ur Motherboard Cd and Click Next... Follow the Intructions of the Wizard and It will install Ur Sound Card...Now U will See a volume Icon on Ur System tray and U will be able to Use Ur Audio Devices... I hope My Answer Helped...

4. double click the little speaker on the taskbar and see if any thing is muted.. and if all else fails.. ask this question somewhere else :)
