he's not a friend. he probably likes your company coz he thinks he's better than you, and it makes him feel secured. get rid of him, he's not worth your time, effort and FRIENDSHIP.

You don't handle people because that would mean people are things. besides, this doesn't sound like a friendship. So, there is no best way to handle a person who looks down on you and think he's better than you except remove him from your life.

He's not a friend! a friend is there to help and support u... not bring u down. Find a time where u feel relaxed and ask him to have a chat with u. Express your feelings and explain to him that he's behaviour is hurting u. It might seem that confronting is scary and might make situations worst but believe me... he will get over it and respect u in the long term. U must demonstrate your respect for yourself in order for others to respeact u. He will probably be angry initially and might be really defensive. Listen to him and don't interrupt... when he finishes, express your opinion. Of the situation becomes heated.. STOP ! Stay away for awhile and things will get better once he digests all the conversation.

look down on him and every time he does the tiniest thing out of line cut him down for it, all the time thinking carefully about what you are about to say and do so you don't give him a chance to condescend to you.

dont be friends with them, friends do not look down on you. friends are there for you when you need them friends are nice to you, friends encourage you. you deserve a friend and a friend isnt them

tell him that you are better man than he and if he doesnt wan tto loose a good friend he needs to accept you the way you are , and if not his loss not yours

get rid of him, he is not your friend if you thinks he is better than you and looks down on you. friends don;t act lilke that. friends think of you as their equal.
