With currently scientific technology, those who have researched the issue thoroughly realize that animal testing does not need to be used to the extent that it is today. Animal testing is becoming obsolete, however, many companies still use animals right now because they don't want to put up with the short-term cost of replacing animals with the more current technology. At some point, there will no longer be a need to use animals and companies will begin to use the more up-to-date and more accurate technology, but I believe it will take some time before this happens. The best thing we can do now is keep a strong stance against animal testing and support the companies that don't use animal testing, which will encourage the push towards a ban on animal testing.
Yes, I am against animal testing.

Yes it should be banned but too many people do not really care and it is a shame, if you go to PETA, you will see the most inhumane treatment coming from Eukaneuba believe it or not!
It is unethical and completely immoral.
Great question
Also in Peta look into what China is doing to it's dogs. It is too horrific to mention here and what they are doing to cats, pigs and birds is just as horrible and eBay oversees sells live cats and dogs for awful things. Check it our for yourself.
Maybe we should boycott the Olympics being held there soon.
I know I will

Without animal testing we wouldn't have insulin. Some animal testing should be banned, but not all of it. I'm in favor of animal testing to find cures for diseases.

animal testing for cosmetics and other silly novelties is definitely unnecessary but think about all the lab rats that have saved lives...animal testing for medicinal purposes, although still sad, is ultimately necessary if we wish to make great strides in finding cures for diseases such as alzheimer's, cancer, AIDS, Parkinson's, etc.

animal testing is wrong. we should test on people who abuse animals. put them in a cage, inject them with HIV, and wait two days for results, then ship them off to a place to live the rest of thier life in pain.
