The boat was a beautiful way of explaining death, I think. They were going to another place they called "the undying lands". Gandalf's explanation of it to Merrie was just lovely.

He became going to the timeless Lands. The elves have been given permission for him to circulate there to stay out something of his life and recover from being a hoop bearer *like Uncle Bilbo* You cant anticipate Frodo to be the comparable Hobbit he became previously the adventures w/ the Fellowship began, are you able to?

hmmm, so he can live till eternity too (that was what the elves did when they went on the boat too, right?). Coz middle earth owes him a lot for being the one who "carried the burden of the ring" and finally led to it's (the ring) destruction. juz like a token of appreciation for his deeds.

he wore the ring 1 too many times that they had no choice but 2 take him for fear it would be a way 4 all the bad stuff 2 happen again

He says in the book:"Where will I find rest?"
So the elves gave him the honor of finding rest on a far away island wich its called Valinor.
