I am getting married in february. our honeymoon is going to be in the dominican but there are three days in between our wedding and the honeymoon so I want to take my future wife to Chicago. I figured it'd be the best place to go within driving distance. (only two hours from wisconsin). I was wondering of any good places to take her.

Take her to the Signature Room at the top of the John Hancock building. It's a great bar/restaurant that has a terrific view of the city. The bar has a lot of plush chair and sofas and some great lounge music. It's a little pricy but a good way to spend your honeymoon. After that, take her skating at Millenium Plaza or maybe over to see the latest Second City comedy review in Old town.

As previously mentioned the best indoor things are the museums. The Art Institute, The Shedd Aquarium (with dolphin show); the Field Museum of natural history and the Adler Planetarium are all within walking distance of one another. Also the Museum of Science and Industry is worth the trip to the South side.
Shopping on Michigan Ave is great, and you spend plenty of time inside to make the walk down the street bearable no matter how cold.
If you are looking for night time activities, Chicago has great clubs and bars no matter what you style, and of course the Blues clubs are the best in the world.
Theater is another great option with Broadway style shows downtown in the theater district (Randolph st) and dozens of small neighborhood theaters doing more original and inventive stuff.
www.metromix.com is a great source. You can find anything there.

There's a pretty nice museum in Chicago called the Field Museum of Natural History. There's a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and you pass Soldier Field on the trolley ride on the way. Don't forget to dress warm because it's usually pretty cold in the winter. I went there about 4 years ago and absolutely loved it.

The Blue Man Group has been playing continually in Chicago at the Briar Street Theater. They are pretty neat to see.
