Generally anything from a few decades ago will get airtime in my experience. That would probably include 70s music.

There are stations directed to age groups and to tastes. Most of them are: Classic Rock 70's (& 80's stuff is starting to show up there), Smooth listen while you work stations that play soft featuring a mix of smooth 80's and 90's music to keep you hypnotized like a drone at work, the ones that aim at the same thing only they play 70's Smooth Rock hit's and such. the Old School stations which play 70's & 80's R&B, and the ones that you said that play 50's 60's and everyonce in a while a 70's song will slip in there. So are there really oldies stations? Yes there are. Do 70's count too? you bet your tushy. The dilema is that people now a days live longer than years prior. To me the question seem to be, how old is old?

As the years go by the 70s and 80s and beyond will be played.
