my boyfriend and i havent been together that long (about 3 months) but we're in a very deep relationship. hes 21 and i'm 18. he tells me he doesnt want to introduce me to his parents because his parents arent that important to him in his life (plenty of drama when he was younger and now he lives on his own with a friend, supporting himself). i understand that, but i'm kinda traditional so i like meeting my boyfriend's parents. should i give it up and just not meet his parents? or should i try to get him to give in? and if i should keep trying, how can i get him to let me meet his parents? i'm good friends with his 19 year old brother and i'm a little jealous that he wants to introduce his girlfriend into the family and my boyfriend doesnt. advice anyone?

1.) we lie to our girls and our mothers know that. they then put the record straight and weobviously doint want that.
2.) our mothers taking great pleasures in embarrassing us in front of our girl.
3.) taking a girl to meet our parents is a serious step in a relationship from a mans point of view. we tend to need a bit more time then girls do.

He is afraid his family will embarrass him it sounds like. Don;t push him. It sounds like a sensitive area for him and when he comes around it just comfort him and let him know you will not judge him by them. Be patient, if you plan on being with him a long time it will happen eventually so don;t rush things

I would let him decide that in his own time. If there are things he needs to work out with them, let him work them out. He may be embarrassed about his family, and not want you to meet them for that reason. Just let it lie.

Honey maybe they are afraid that their parents will not approve of them. They have to get to know you better. Their son should tell them more about you and that he loves you and wants them to meet you.Good luck.

Don't push him into meeting his parents. If and when he loves you then he will be proud of you and want his parents to meet you. He could be afraid that they will hassle him also.
