It all depends what you want to ecourage to the baby. Mozart is always a good choice for it's mathematical and tension/resolve movements. Babies don't really have much of a well developed tone pallette and are more likely to respond to rythmic music other than complicated tonal structures as is with most "babies" at nightclubs and bars everywhere (Sarcastic Pun)(nevermind) Phillips has a nice classical CD line for different occations and circumstances featuring different artists. Look for Phillips Classical or BMG Classical their dealer.

I just recently took a class called music appreciation, and i really enjoyed it. You should try Wolfgang Mozart, or even Ludwig van Beethoven.

Tchakovski's Nutcracker Suite is an EXCELLENT choice for the Baby's Room to help them fall asleep.

You'll likely receive very varied answers.
For me, I would recommend Mozarts'. My 2-year-old son grew up with Mozart's since he was in my wife's womb.
Alternatively, you can try Baby Einsteins' collections as well, as Sarah C (above) recommended. My son enjoyed those too.
