1 swimmer to fertilize the egg.

It only takes one sperm to get pregnant. Men have to produce several thousand healthy sperm to increase the chance of pregnancy. Sperm are not long lasting, having a lifespan of 24-36 hours. The travel through a woman's reproductive tract can take several hours and if the sperm are not healthy they will not survive the trip to fertilize the ovum. That being said, if you are trying to prevent pregnancy, use protection. If you are trying to produce a pregnancy and having difficulty you probably need to see a specialist. You need to check with your doctor and see who they would recommend.

It just takes one. Think of your sperms as a football team. 99% are on running defense, in case she's had any other guys lately. About 1%, maybe 100,000 or so, are actually going for the goal. And only one can make it into any given egg.

Keep pluggin' away, buddy.

Technically a single sperm out of millions is the winner.

usually the sperm count should be more than 60 millions per ml of semen ( thats theminimum normal count). but technically only 1 sperm fertilises with the ova to form a zygote.

A microscopic amount - even minor pentration of the vagina can cause pregnancy - figure that it only takes one sperm to impregnate the egg, so it doesn't take much sperm to take the journey.

this is how it was taught me:

envision your semen as being the amount of a Olympic size pool, you sperm is only in about a cup full of that, and of that cup are hundreds of swimmers. and all it takes is ONE to create life
