My mom broke her foot on Friday night, and she now has a temporary cast. (She might get a permanent cast, or keep this one, she has to go to the doctor this week.) I actually have never broke anything myself and no one else close to me has, either. I was just curious how long you would wear a cast on your foot. Thanks!

usually 6 weeks but if she has a temp then the dr who read her xrays maybe thought the break was not to bad if it was not put in a full cast she just might get a walking cast good luck to mom help her out she will need you to be there for her.

when she goes to the doctor they will most likely take it off and give her an orthopedic shoe. When I broke my foot and was given the shoe I called it my 'magic shoe' because I could instantly and miraculously walk lol. From what I understand there is no way to cast and heal a broken foot.

depends on where the break is and how bad it was...my neighbor broke her foot and she was in a air cast for only 4 weeks, another friend was casted for about 12 weks because of the position of the break

Well her NFL season is definitley over, she wont' be tackling running backs anytime soon. It really depends on the break, but usually it's a 4-6 week thing.

I have had broken fingers, torned ligaments on my ankles, and sprained almost everything in my body because of sports. Depending on the brake it could last about three to four months, just tell your mom to relax and to try not to walk on it.

It all depends on where the break is and how bad of a break it is. It also depends how quickly it heals.
