I very much doubt he will be able to.

Many people believe he was only signed so Manchester United could improve their already massive fan base, in China.

He's unlikely to get much of an opportunity in the first team. Manchester United already have the following strikers who are in the pecking order before Dong Fangzhou: Rooney, Saha, Solskjaer, Rossi (who will almost definitely be returning to Man Utd soon) and Smith.

However he will get a few games in the FA and Carling Cup.

I think it's a good PR move by United. Is he as good as the other players on the team? Probabaly not. They considered Freddie Adu (or don't) and he is not as good as the MSL hype machine made him out to be. It's all about winning and making money in the end isn't it? the player must fit at least one of the two requirements.

I think it is a very good move for MU in terms of marketing strategy,
He is also a very bright and talented player. Give him a year or 2 and he will shine just like Park JI Sung

No. i don't think he will be good for United. the style he played football not suitable for united playing style. i think in this stage, he still has to fought very very hard to get a place in United's bench. but i do hope he will done well in Manchester.
